This impressive, 416 page large format book, telling the inside story of the ‘Lightweight’ E-types, has been hugely well received by enthusiasts. Here are early comments from customers:

"Strictly arrived this morning. Thank you. I really must congratulate Peter Wilson on a simply astonishing book. Many have been written around E-types, and whilst I confess to having a particular interest in competition E's, from what I have seen (I have not of course read it all yet) this might be the greatest E-type book ever. A stunning achievement.I hope that it is nominated (and wins) the Royal Automobile Club Motoring Book of the Year."

"Crammed with good quality pictures, side bars, papers and interesting documents that gives the reader the 'we are actually there' feeling."

"A credit to all involved. Superb!"

NEW! Classic Jaguars in New Zealand by Richard Waugh

New Zealand may be a small country in terms of its population (just under five million!) but enthusiasm for Jaguar within the motoring community is huge. So a book celebrating the marque in New Zealand is overdue and very welcome, and appropriate that it is being published to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Jaguar's origins.

With no less than 488 photographs, all but 40 taken in 2021, the book is a pictorial feast especially as the images are the work of award-winning photographer Cameron Leggett. The book begins with a foreword by no less a Jaguar figure than Ian Callum, the company's former design head, who writes that "The passion I read about is real and deep. This book - like any Jaguar - is beautiful".

There follows a concise history of the company, from Swallow to the present day, illustrated by period and current photographs. The meat of the book is, however, a series of colour photo-studies of 40 Swallows, SSs and Jaguars in New Zealand, with accompanying text where owners share experiences of their cherished Jaguars, along with basic technical data on each model. Cars featured include Austin Swallow, SS 1, 'coachbuilt' saloons, 'Mk IV saloons and convertible', XK 120, 140, 150, Mk VII series, Mk 1 & 2, E-type, Mk X/420G, XJ6, XJ12, XJ-S, XJR (X300) XK8 and XJ220

There are also sections on Jaguar racing in New Zealand (contributed by Grant McMillan and with great period pictures of XK 120 and Mk 2), Jaguar assembly in New Zealand, C-, D- and lightweight E-type replicas (New Zealand builds some of the best!), Jaguar toys in NZ, and NZ clubs, events and Jaguar dealerships (past and present).

The author is Rev. Richard Waugh, a passionate Jaguar enthusiast and Mk VII/VIII/IX Registrar for the Jaguar Drivers' Club (Auckland) Inc. He is author of some 17 previous books (mostly on aviation history). Published by the Knyaston Charitable Trust of Auckland, this book is clearly a labour of love PJ Publishing is delighted to be sole distributor for most countries outside New Zealand and Australia.

Hardback with jacket, 316 pages, 24.5 x 29.0 cm, 488 photographs.
