SPECIAL OFFER TO CELEBRATE RAC MOTORING BOOK OF THE YEAR WIN!

Now £75.00 (was £95.00)

This impressive, 416 page large format book, telling the inside story of the ‘Lightweight’ E-types, has been hugely well received by enthusiasts. Here are early comments from customers:

"Strictly arrived this morning. Thank you. I really must congratulate Peter Wilson on a simply astonishing book. Many have been written around E-types, and whilst I confess to having a particular interest in competition E's, from what I have seen (I have not of course read it all yet) this might be the greatest E-type book ever. A stunning achievement. It is now nominated (and I hope wins) the Royal Automobile Club Motoring Book of the Year."

"Crammed with good quality pictures, side bars, papers and interesting documents that gives the reader the 'we are actually there' feeling."

"A credit to all involved. Superb!"

» NEW! SS Jaguar 100 The remarkable history of 18008 by Chas Parker
£25.00

This is the story of what is probably the best-known and certainly the most significant SS 100 built. It first achieved fame as a rally car, winning the 1936 International Alpine Trial (the first-ever international victory by a Jaguar) before being adopted as the works race, hill climb and development car. In this form it competed at Brooklands and Shelsely Walsh, and the power developed by its highly-tuned engine became the benchmark for the new XK engine.

The book describes the technical aspects of the SS 100 before moving on to the car's works years in the 1930s. Each post-war owner is then covered, along with the results they achieved. In particular, the car's development to ERA-beating form by David Barber in the 1970s is detailed in full. Many pre- and post-war results are listed together with copious period and contemporary photographs (including magnificent studio studies by John Colley). Certainly a worthy addition to Porter Press International's Exceptional Cars series.

Hardback, 128 pages, 240 x 280mm, landscape format. Over 110 illustrations.

If your destination is not shown, please use the Contact Us form for a quote. Note that Print Format and Shipping prices marked + are additional to the basic standard edition cost. Note that many of our larger books to European destinations are now sent insured/signed for at extra cost due to unacceptable levels of non-delivery recently..
